Hosting & Infrastructure

Data and files are hosted by OVHcloud SAS on servers located within the European Union.

All user data is stored exclusively within EU territory and never transferred outside the European Economic Area.

Data Protection

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR — EU 2016/679), you have the right to access, rectify, delete, restrict, object to, and port your personal data.

We collect only data strictly necessary for the operation of the service: email address, username, and files you choose to store. Your data is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for commercial purposes.

Encryption & Security

  • All stored files are encrypted at rest using AES-256
  • All communications between the app and our servers are secured with TLS 1.3
  • Passwords are hashed using bcrypt — we cannot retrieve your password
  • Folder passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text
  • File access is protected by HMAC-signed, time-limited URLs
  • Files are stored with UUID filenames to prevent enumeration

Cookies & Trackers

The mobile application does not use any cookies or advertising trackers. Only technical data strictly necessary for operation is stored on your device:

  • Authentication token (JWT) — stored in the device's secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore)
  • Local thumbnail cache — stored only within the app sandbox

The website uses only an essential session cookie for authentication. No third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking scripts are used on any part of our platform.

Intellectual Property

All elements of the Secure Vault application and website — including source code, interface design, graphics, logos, icons, and text — are the exclusive property of OneSecureVault and are protected by European and international intellectual property law.

Users retain full ownership of the content they upload. OneSecureVault does not claim any rights over user-uploaded files.

Limitation of Liability

OneSecureVault makes every reasonable effort to ensure the availability, integrity, and security of the service. However, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation or data preservation in all circumstances.

Users are solely responsible for the content they store on the platform. We recommend maintaining local backups of important files.

Nothing herein excludes liability for fraud, gross negligence, personal injury, or any other matter that cannot be excluded under applicable EU consumer law.

Digital Services Act (DSA) Compliance

Secure Vault complies with the Digital Services Act (EU) 2022/2065. As a personal cloud storage service, we are not a hosting platform with public content sharing. All user content is private and accessible only by the account holder.
